First of all, they were incredibly sweet and welcoming. She (Julie?) even let us sample some things while we waited for our food. Best service I've had probably anywhere and the food was amazing too. We had Loco Moco, Korean Chicken and of course lumpia. Mmmmmmmmm

We go here all the time (most of the time) And it's a cute little restaurant. It's clean, good service! She's a really nice women and her husband as well. The food there is excellent. Best Filipino food in Colorado Springs. The lechon is the best!

The owners are very sweet delightful people. This is a hole in the wall but from my experience these are usually some of the best places with the best customer service. For Colorado Springs this is a pretty good spot if you want some ethnic food. I had the Korean chicken, my son had the teriyaki chicken and his dad had a 2 item combo of something similar. The portions are good for the price. The food was satisfying. Having been to many different states and traveled over seas I could see how people could say this isn't authentic but it's as authentic as you're going to get. You're in Colorado Springs ethnic and "authentic" food are far and between. I will definitely be returning and will most likely try their chicken adobe one of my favorite Filipino dishes.

Julie's Kitchen is the essence of a hole in the wall restaurant, the nondescript strip mall is on the seeder side of town but, this by no means seems to affect the quality of food and more then friendly service that Julie and her husband have been serving up at this new location. The restaurant offers variations of Hawaiian, Korean and Filipino dishes with the Filipino dishes displayed in a counter style and the Hawaiian made in the back to order. As the pictures clearly demonstrate the food is made with passion and a sense of family that is made evident when the chef comes out and sits down for a conversation about food, travel, cooking techniques and family. The food was steaming hot and made to order, Kalua Pork with cabbage, two heaping scopes of white rice and a macaroni salad was served on a huge plate that is meant to satisfy any hunger issues you may have upon walking through the door. The final verdict is we'll be recommending this spot to anyone in the mode for Hawaiian food in the city and we'll certainly be back and come ready to eat!

Julie's Kitchen was an overall good experience. When I walked in, I saw some food out on the counter in a glass display case. It did not look appetizing, so I looked over the menu and ended up ordering the curry chicken katsu. I have never tried Filipino food before but it was actually quite delicious. I came to this restaurant because of all the lovely pictures here on Yelp, including pictures of yummy-looking halo halo. I wanted to try it but I didn't see it listed anywhere on the menu, and felt weird asking for it. I wanted to try a new dessert as well, so I bought Pluto(cakey blue/purple balls) and Ube Kalamay(gelatinous purple dessert). I didn't know what they were at first, so it was very nice of the owner to explain what everything was to me. I wasn't a huge fan of the Ube Kalamay because it wasn't as sweet as I thought it would be, but I loved the little Pluto balls! I left the store in a pretty good mood :)

Ok we just had dinner and it was out of this world. Will we go back that is a big YES.made L&L look like Taco Bell

Friendly service, tasty food. Great recommendations from the owner made for a very tasty first brush with Hawaiian and Filipino cuisine. I recommend you try the halo-halo for a unusual, yet delicious dessert.

Best Filipino food found so far. I have found it very difficult to find quality Filipino food anywhere. Blood stew was great. Halo halo was good as well.

This is my kind of place, hole in the wall, homemade food, and price ain't too bad either. I know you probably saw a lot of delicious looking pastries that other yelpers posted. However when I asked the owner why I didn't see those, she told me she no longer make them because it's hard to make those pastries at high altitude. Besides that little disappointment, I really enjoyed the homemade food. It's almost like panda-express at your local mall. You can have 1, 2, or 3 dishes, either served with rice or noodle. Be sure to ask for a sample to taste before you decide what to order. Staff is very friendly, service is fast. Too bad it's not in Denver because we can totally use some good Filipino food here. ;)

Visited a few times and kept forgetting to review. My bad. I'm going for lunch so I figured I should review while I'm thinking about it. Every time we go here it is absolutely amazing! Julie and Romeo are the sweetest people. When I was scared to try something new Julie offered me a sample. The portions are LARGE so it's usually like 3 meals for me. I can't speak to price because I'm never paying attention when I pay, but whatever it is, it's worth every penny.

I recently moved here from Hawaii (born and raised). I don't usually eat out, but I was in the area and haven't eaten all day. This place was rated so well, I decided why not eat food I'm familiar with. In Hawaii, the most common food is Filipino/Hawaiian/"local style" which is American food with an Asian twist. The food on the hot bar looked nasty. Old and crusty looking. So I ordered a fresh "Hawaiian" plate. Mixed plate with shoyu chicken and Korean fried chicken (they were out of teriyaki beef and kalua pork and cabbage) because they've "been selling a lot of Hawaiian food lately". Wait was about 10 minutes, not too shabby. Owners were nice. However, the food was meh. It was a terrible representation of food in Hawaii. It almost tasted like I was at a Chinese restaurant. The food itself was pretty flavorful, BUT for what I ordered, it was NOT how you would get shoyu chicken or Korean fried chicken in Hawaii. If this place wasn't advertised as Filipino and Hawaiian food, I wouldn't have been as disappointed. It's a decent place to grab food. But I won't be back to fulfill any cravings of food from back home. They don't have cups of water, you must buy bottled water or sodas. Bleh. Also, there are tons of images of desserts and breads, but nothing resembles that on their menu, no was anything out on display. Oh well.

A true taste of home for a great price! Filipino food is so underrated in my opinion but I have a feeling it won't stay that way for long. Julie's is exactly what I love about a Filipino restaurant. GREAT, authentic food...served in large portions for cheap by the friendliest owners, who are proud of their food! I had kare kare and lechon and it was exactly what I expected. So delicious..but far from healthy so moderation is key! I split my take home order into 3 portions..had to save room for halo halo after all. Julie's is probably my favorite restaurant in COS...it truly reminds me of family and being back home. I will say that You-Ka may have a slight edge when it comes to halo halo but aside from that, I prefer Julie's for Filipino fare. The Hawaiian menu looks good and I'll be returning to try that! I still wish at least one of the Filipino restaurant in the area served Filipino breakfast. I miss Tapsilog!

First thing, I have put in a request with Yelp to change the address for this location because it is actually 3750. Second: this places rocks!!! I am not really keen on the location being on Astrozon Blvd. but it was worth the trip. I drove down that away on Saturday and I was blown away on friendly they were and they catered to my every need. Julie let me try samples of everything and the explained what they were (since I am not fully versed in Phillipina food). Now they do have a super extensive menu but they have food already cooked for lunch like it is a small cafeteria and you just pick what you want instead of waiting on your order. So that is what I did. Next time I will order something from the menu and see what I think. I have to say just service wise they were excellence and their food was top notch. I am NOT Philippine connoisseur but what I had tasted great!!! Thanks Julie and Romeo for making my lunch visit great and good luck with the business.

Hmmm. Not sure what I missed but I really wanted to love Julie's and had high expectations based on other Yelp reviews. But for me it was just average and not special enough to warrant a second visit from me. I ordered the adobo chicken which was very tasty but annoying to eat. I would venture to say it was 50% bone and I hate biting down on bone or eating around bone. The beef/vegetable lumpia (6) was tasty but just way to garlicky for me (to the point of coating my mouth with that sharp, spicy flavor that isn't always appreciated). My lunch date ordered the fried pork and it just seemed both dry and fatty to both of us. On the positive side, the couple running the place was very kind and generous, the restaurant was very clean, the prices are quite reasonable, there were lots of folks giving Julie's their business over the Monday lunch hour, and the menu was quite diverse and interesting.

Excellent food very friendly stafff and very reasonable prices. I eoulf recommend this to everyone

First I have to say the address is not correct on Yelp. The correct address is 3750. The address on Yelp goes to a closed location where there were some Asian stores at one point. We almost left cause we thought they shut down shop, but I am glad we read Terry W's review and found the right location. Now to the actual review. The restaurant decor is a bit outdated and really had that ma n pa small business feel to it. They even had snacks displayed in case you want to purchase some. The service was good. Julie and Romeo was very friendly and was more than happy to let us know what we are ordering. We definitely felt welcomed. The food was very good. I ordered from the Filipino dishes and got some dinuguan, pork adobo and rice. The dinuguan is just like how I my mom use to make it. Not too soupy and with lots of meat. The pork adobo was sweeter than I am used to, but it was still really good. Overall I definitely found my go to place in the Springs for Filipino food.

Wow. I'm so glad I found this place. The food here is amazing and you can tell it's all made with love. I ordered 2 plates to go: pancit, steamed rice, chicken kabobs and some kind of chicken stew (I can't remember the name of it), but it was delicious. Next time I will dine in and try other Filipino dishes on the menu. The owners ARE very sweet and helpful. I can't wait to go back!

Amazing. It's hard to put into words how fantastic the food is at Julie's. We tried 7 dishes and the sampler plate. Everything was a perfect 10. Like country stew type cooking but better. Also had fried pork belly. A giant slab that they slice off of. Great desert also. The owners were super nice people. Glad we found this gem on the way to great sand dunes national Park

So far I like the food here! Heaping portions. Worth the $$$! I hope it stays that way. It will be awesome to throw in a soup and a banana along with the meal!
(5)Matthew L.
This is your run of the mill side shop place with average food. I would worry about things being out a long time here and getting sick. The food was pretty bland and what's up with the grocery store macaroni salad with everything?
(1)G P.
Great food, even better people-owners! I chatted with them until my crispy lumpia and Korean chicken were ready...which were both very good!
(5)Teresa L.
Spur of the moment lunch and I'm so glad we went! Everyone in Colorado Springs and fort Carson needs to know about this gem. So great and the owners were fantastic! Will be back and would recommend to anyone!
(5)Kim G.
Came here yesterday, spur of the moment, after seeing pictures on Yelp. So glad we gave it a try!! Everyone was super friendly and happy to answer any questions, or explain ingredients to us, etc. My husband had pork in a tomato base with peas, and of course, rice. I had pork adobo and rice. They were both delicious!! For dessert I couldn't resist a good ol' authentic Halo Halo with Ube ice cream....totally hit the spot! Can't wait to go back again!!

Maybe it's like when a movie gets so many rave reviews that you're disappointed when you go see it, but I really didn't think this place was all that. I guess the biggest upset was when I asked for cups of water and was told they only had bottled drinks (water included) because their water isn't filtered. I'd rather drink tap water than Dasani any day. If it's good enough to cook my rice in, it's good enough to drink. I pressed for tap water and the lady got us some, but it didn't give a great first impression. The food? Meh. The deep-fried chicken in our dishes was so overcooked as to be chewy. I won't bother going again.

After hearing about this place through the grapevine my hubby and I decided to try it out. First off the service was fantastic. The owner was incredibly nice and informative. I decided to try the musubi, lumpia, and the loco moco. It took a little while to be made, but we were rewarded with some awesome food. The musubi was perfect seasoned with crunchy flavorful flakes, the lumpia was crunchy and satisfying, and the loco moco delivered. The owner was so nice she even threw in a desert for us. We have found a new lunch spot!!!
(5)Sandy C.
Very good food. They will give you samples of some stuff so you know what your buying. They owners are nice and they educate you about the food. I can't wait to go again. Check out their fb page to see what they are cooking for lunch that day.

Love the food and atmosphere. The people are extremely friendly and help you if it's your first time in the restaurant.

Visiting from out of town, on a road trip, we came across Julie's Kitchen on Yelp. Per the reviews, we decided to give JK a try and we're sure glad we did! The food was delicious! My husband had the Korean chicken and I had the Filipino Tilapia with mixed veggies and rice. For dessert we had the cassava. We ate EVERYTHING! Julie is genuinely friendly and we really enjoyed chatting with her. We highly recommend trying Julie's Kitchen.
(5)Shamonn M.
Coming from Texas before here, there are a lot of Filipino, Vietnamese, and other ethnic restaurants that we've tried out....Not to mention that most of our friends have some type of different ethnicity. Anyway, I've had a lot of Filipino food. Sorry My Chock Dee Oriental Market...but this place has got you beat...Oh My Goodness. We had the adobo pork, ginataan adobong manok, lumpia and pancit! I'm telling you that this is the best Filipino food that I've ever had...don't get mad Mel...hahahaha. The food is delish and the service is even better. Julie made sure that we would like what we were getting so she gave us samples of what we were going to get. Not only that, but they made the lumpia fresh...we had to wait a few minutes but we didn't mind....Thanks Julie for our Dinner! We will be back.
(5)Amanda T.
This place is delish! I've had both Filipino and Hawaiian dishes here, and they definitely do not disappoint! The owners are very friendly, and helpful with questions. The Korean chicken is to-die-for! I can't wait to try some of the desserts. They look yummy!
